"For the creation is waiting with eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God"

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and desolate, and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep, and God’s active force was moving about over the surface of the waters.  And God said: “Let there be light.” Then there was light.  After that God saw that the light was good, and God began to divide the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, but the darkness he called Night." - Genesis 1:1-5

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in the beginning with God.  All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence  by means of him was life, and the life was the light of men.  And the light is shining in the darkness, but the darkness has not overpowered it." - John 1:1-5

"The true light that gives light to every sort of man was about to come into the world.  He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him, but the world did not know him.  He came to his own home, but his own people did not accept him.  However, to all who did receive him, he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name.  And they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God." - John 1:9-13

"So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of divine favor and truth.  (John bore witness about him, yes, he cried out: “This was the one of whom I said, ‘The one coming behind me has advanced in front of me, for he existed before me.’”)  For we all received from his fullness, even undeserved kindness upon undeserved kindness.  Because the Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.  No man has seen God at any time; the only-begotten god who is at the Father’s side is the one who has explained Him." -John 1:14-18

"By your light we can see light" -Ps 36:9

"You are the light of the world. A city cannot be hid when located on a mountain.  People light a lamp and set it, not under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it shines on all those in the house.  Likewise, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens." - Matthew 5:14-16

"For the creation is waiting with eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God" -Romans 8:19

The revelation of the only-begotten Son of God stands at the center of all divine truth. Before any other son could be revealed, the Father first revealed His perfect Son—the greatest light ever to enter the world. Through him all things came into existence, and through him life became the light of men. His appearance among mankind was not merely the coming of a teacher, prophet, or king. It was the revelation of sonship itself in its purest and most complete form.

Jesus alone remained in perfect harmony with the holy spirit throughout his entire earthly life. From his baptism in the Jordan, when the spirit descended upon him and the Father openly declared him to be His beloved Son, Jesus stepped into his role as the High Priest of Jehovah's great spiritual temple. Through his sacrifice and priestly service, he opened the way for others to follow the same road of adoption.

Yet the Scriptures do not stop with the revelation of the only-begotten Son. They repeatedly direct our attention toward the future revelation of the sons of God. The apostle Paul wrote that "the creation is waiting with eager expectation for the revealing of the sons of God." This expectation invites us to search the Scriptures for other examples of men and women who experienced this divine adoption—those who were begotten through the incorruptible Word of God and whose lives reveal the transforming power of His spirit.

The Bible records many such accounts. While each journey is unique, certain patterns appear repeatedly. The more carefully these accounts are examined, the easier it becomes for all of us to grasp the ropes of love with which Jehovah pulls us from our imperfect condition into the glorious freedom of the sons of God. These recurring patterns help us trace the road of adoption from beginning to end and better understand the loving process by which our heavenly Father forms His children.

Though each traveler experiences this journey differently, there is only one Kingdom, one foundation, one process of being born again, one mother who carries the child until birth, and one spirit that produces life. There are twelve gates into the Kingdom, yet all who enter pass through the same city. From the moment of begetting, through embryonic growth within the womb, through the formation of all parts according to the book in which all the days were written before any of them arrived, through infancy, nourishment, correction, discipline, and maturity, the Scriptures provide a remarkable description of the development of a child of God.

Paul used the tender illustration of a nursing mother and spoke of being in labor until Christ would be formed in others. Elsewhere he described heirs who, while children, remain under tutors and supervisors until the appointed time set by the Father. From the begetting of a spiritual embryo, through its growth and formation, until the day appointed by the Father when mature sonship is openly revealed, the Scriptures consistently describe the same process. These stages are not random illustrations. Together they form a consistent picture of spiritual development that appears throughout the Bible.

Discovering the mystery of the sons of God invites us into a profound journey of spiritual awakening, one that reveals how God's family extends beyond what is immediately visible. The Scriptures hint at their powerful role in guiding creation and humanity back to God, illuminating the path toward our own adoption as His sons and daughters. Just as all creation eagerly awaits this unveiling, we too are invited to search deeper—to uncover how God's purpose regarding the sons of God can transform our lives and draw us into a closer relationship with Him.

This examination requires caution. Jesus warned that in the last days many would come and say, "I am the Christ," and would mislead many. The Greek word Christ means "Anointed One." While this title belongs uniquely and supremely to Jesus, the Scriptures also apply the concept of anointing to others who receive holy spirit for a sacred purpose. Therefore, false claims of anointing can indeed mislead. At the same time, genuine anointing must also exist if the promised revelation of the sons of God is to occur.

The challenge, therefore, is not merely to reject false claims, but also to avoid stumbling over genuine works of God's spirit. Throughout history many have rejected those whom God was calling because the process did not conform to their expectations. Sergei's own journey includes such moments of stumbling, misunderstanding, and eventual reconsideration. He will describe both the biblical accounts and his encounters with those who today profess such a calling, comparing their experiences with the scriptural pattern and drawing attention to similarities, differences, successes, mistakes, and lessons learned.

In the following pages, you will step into another story—one seen through the eyes of a person who has witnessed its unfolding since 1994, both in Russia and America. This journey bridges two worlds and explores how the themes of divine adoption and the manifestation of the sons of God have appeared in real lives and real events. As you read, allow this perspective to deepen your understanding of what it means to be called into God's family and to experience His purpose across cultures, generations, and continents.

You will also step into the personal story of a man named Sergei—a story drawn from his own experiences and encounters with people he has met, observed, studied with, or heard about since 1994 in both Russia and America. Along the way, he reflects on the histories of the countries in which he lived during periods of profound political, social, and spiritual change. These reflections offer glimpses into the events, people, and circumstances that shaped his understanding of God, faith, and the process of spiritual adoption.

Sergei does not claim perfect accuracy in his judgments. He recognizes that different observers may view the same events, people, organizations, and even entire nations through very different lenses. What follows is therefore not presented as the final word on any subject, but as one perspective—another story that may illuminate details overlooked by others while inviting readers to reach their own conclusions, perhaps very different from Sergei's own.

For more than three decades, Sergei has devoted considerable attention to examining both the biblical accounts of divine adoption and the testimonies of individuals who today profess to have experienced such a calling. His purpose is not to establish himself as a judge of others, but to compare modern claims with the patterns revealed in Scripture and to better understand the process by which God draws His children to Himself.

This book is a spiritual exploration aimed at uncovering deeper, often overlooked themes in the Bible. Through carefully curated references, scriptural examination, and personal observations, it invites readers to explore hidden connections, understand the role of divine influence in human lives, and develop a deeper appreciation for Jehovah's purpose. It is intended not as a substitute for personal study, but as a tool to encourage it.

Ultimately, these pages are offered as an invitation to investigate. Readers are encouraged to verify every conclusion for themselves, compare all things carefully with the inspired Scriptures, and seek the guidance of God's spirit. If these reflections help even a few readers better recognize the ropes of love by which Jehovah draws people toward Himself and into the glorious freedom of His children, then the purpose of this work will have been fulfilled.
